Reasons to hate Delta: No. 372
Posted by Bob Benz
So I have to go to Appleton, Wisconsin, in a few weeks. I knew it wouldn’t be cheap, given the escalating air fares that are plaguing business travelers these days. I checked Expedia and a few other sources, realizing it would cost about a grand for the roundtrip ticket no matter what I did. So I booked it.
Then my partner booked the same trip, flying from Louisville, KY, instead of Knoxville, TN. It cost HALF of what my flight cost. And he’s going through Cincinnati. Same as I am. WTF? Crap like this drives me to distraction. Lousiville is about 300 miles closer to Cincinnati than Knoxville, roundtrip. And that merits twice the price?
I’ll be calling Delta tomorrow to complain mightily, but I doubt it will do any good. So I’ll chalk it up as yet another reason to hate Delta. If and when they go belly up, I’ll be dancing on their grave. Maybe worse …

Merging with Northwest won’t help, either. You know what I say about Northwest — its motto is, “We’re not happy until you’re not happy.”
